Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Dorman graduated from the University of Maryland Medical School and came to Minnesota “for one year”. Many decades later, he and his family are still here and love living in the upper midwest. He completed his Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Fellowship training at the University of Minnesota and was on staff at the Minneapolis Veterans Administration Hospital for one year before entering private practice. He was the head of the Rheumatology Division of the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program for many years. He continues to be involved with teaching of medical residents. Dr. Dorman has been chosen as a Top Doctor by the Minneapolis/St. Paul magazine each year since its inception.
He enjoys spending his free time with family and especially the grandchildren, helping his wife in the garden and singing in the choir at church. Special interests in Rheumatology include rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma and Sjogren’s syndrome.
